a method of evaluating jobs for the purpose of setting wage or salary levels in which positions are compared to certain benchmark jobs in terms of compensable job factors. The factors usually include mental requirements, skill requirements, physical requirements, responsibility, and working conditions. alternating treatments design

a type of study in which the experimental condition or treatment assigned to the participant changes from session to session or within sessions. For example, a researcher comparing two methods for eliminating the disruptive classroom behavior of a student might have the teacher use one method throughout the morning and the other method throughout the afternoon and then evaluate the student’s behavior with each technique.
