job-component method

a job-evaluation technique based on the assumption that similarities in job content impose similar demands on the employees and therefore warrant corresponding pay scales. The job-component method is often applied through a statistical analysis of data obtained from a Position Analysis Questionnaire. Compare classification method; factor-comparison method; point method; ranking method.
