employee evaluation

employee evaluation

the judgment of an employee’s overall job performance and of certain related personal characteristics (e.g., ability to get along with colleagues) that may be relevant. Employee evaluations are usually performed by a supervisor or consultant. Also called employee appraisal; work evaluation. See criterion dimensions; job criterion; performance review.
