Wildervanck syndrome

a genetic disorder associated with Klippel–Feil syndrome and characterized by deafness and paralysis of the abducens nerve. The cause is unknown, but because it is seen almost exclusively in females, an X-linked dominant inheritance is suspected. [reported in 1952 by L. S. Wildervanck, Dutch geneticist]
