vestibular nerve

vestibular nerve

a division of the vestibulocochlear nerve that carries nerve fibers from the vestibular system in the inner ear; it is associated with the sense of balance and orientation in space. Fibers of the vestibular nerve terminate in the vestibular nuclei of the brainstem.
