trichromatism

trichromatism

n. normal color vision: the capacity to distinguish the three primary color systems of light–dark, red–green, and blue–yellow, attributable to the presence of all three types of photopigment. Also called trichromatopsia. See also achromatism; dichromatism; monochromatism.
