a bundle of transverse nerve fibers in the pons that carrys afferent fibers from the cochlear nuclei to the superior olivary complex and the nuclei of the lateral lemniscus, as well as efferent fibers from the inferior colliculi and lateral lemnisci to the cochlear nuclei.
