auditory pathway

auditory pathway

the neural route along which auditory information is conveyed from the cochlear hair cells to the auditory cortex. The major structures in the auditory pathway are the cochlear nucleus, superior olivary complex, lateral lemniscus, inferior colliculus, and the medial geniculate nucleus.
