nympholepsy

n.

1. a type of pedophilia in which the individual has a strong preference or obsessive desire for young girls who are sexually precocious (nymphets: a word coined by Vladimir Nabokov in his 1955 novel Lolita). Also called Lolita complex.

2. a mania or frenzy, especially of an erotic nature, characterized by a desire for some unattainable ideal. The name is derived from myths in which an individual glimpses a nymph and becomes possessed by a demonic frenzy in pursuit of her.
