nonrandomized clinical trial

nonrandomized clinical trial

a type of clinical trial in which the participants are not assigned by chance to the different treatment groups or interventions. For example, if participants choose whether to receive a new treatment or an existing standard of care, then the trial would be nonrandomized. Compare randomized clinical trial.
