nocturnal myoclonus

nocturnal myoclonus

involuntary jerking of the limbs (myoclonus) that occurs when a person is falling asleep. The involuntary spasms may occur repeatedly and with sufficient activity to awaken the person. Nocturnal myoclonus is not necessarily a sign of a neurological disorder.
