multiple regression model of selection

a statistically based model of personnel selection in which the applicant is measured on each of several predictors and these scores are weighted to reflect the goodness of fit between the predictor and performance on a given job criterion. The model assumes that the predictors are linearly related to the job criteria and that they are additive and can compensate for one another.
