a level of rehabilitation and work-preparedness training at which a person with a disability is presumed to be ready to move into the competitive job market. Rehabilitation personnel may assist individuals with tasks such as filling out job applications and preparing for job interviews (see placement counseling).

a unit or scale of measurement that is applied to data from different sources. In a meta-analysis, for instance, the results from multiple studies may need to be placed on a common metric so that they may be meaningfully compared.
