case method

in industrial and organizational psychology, a personnel training technique in which a group of managers or supervisors are presented with an actual or hypothetical business problem, through written materials, audiovisual media, or live role play, and are required to generate solutions. See also business game; conference method; multiple-role playing; scenario analysis.
