business game

a teaching method employed in business schools and management or executive training in which individuals or teams compete against one another in solving typical but simulated management, financial, or operational problems. Games are usually played in an online environment that offers the opportunity for feedback on the results of decisions as the game is played. Also called business-simulation game; management-simulation game. See also case method; conference method; multiple-role playing; scenario analysis.
