effect-size correlation

(symbol: reffect size) an index of the association between an independent variable and scores on the dependent variable without removing any other sources of variation in the data. An effect-size correlation has values from −1 to +1, with absolute values of .1, .3, and .5 representing small, medium, and large relationships, respectively.
