n. a constitutional type (somatotype) in Sheldon’s constitutional theory of personality characterized by a thin, long, fragile physique, which—according to this theory—is highly correlated with cerebrotonia. Also called ectomorphic body type. —ectomorphic adj. —ectomorphy n.
