n. the personality type that, according to Sheldon’s constitutional theory of personality, is associated with an ectomorphic (linear, fragile) physique (see ectomorph). Cerebrotonia is characterized by a tendency toward introversion, restraint, inhibition, love of privacy and solitude, and sensitivity. —cerebrotonic adj.
