developmental coordination disorder

in DSM–IV–TR and DSM–5, a motor skills disorder characterized by marked impairment in the development of motor coordination, with performance of motor activities (e.g., walking, handwriting) well below that expected for the child’s chronological age. Significant impairment of academic performance or daily living activities is also observed. However, the difficulties are not due to intellectual disability or to a neurological disorder affecting movement (e.g., cerebral palsy). See also developmental dyspraxia.

antipyretic

antipyretic

n. a drug that helps control fever or other forms of hyperthermia (raised body temperature) by acting on the thermoregulatory center in the hypothalamus. Antipyretics may also help the body to dissipate heat faster by dilating peripheral arteries. Aspirin and other nonopioid analgesics function as antipyretics.
