vagina dentata

vagina dentata

in folklore, a vagina with teeth that can castrate the male partner. In the classical psychoanalytic theory of Sigmund Freud, for women, it is a fantasy believed to stem from intense penis envy and a desire to castrate the partner as an act of revenge; for men, it is believed to stem from castration anxiety.
