coffee
n. a product derived from evergreen trees of the genus Coffea, which grow wild or are cultivated in tropical regions worldwide, including Brazil, Columbia, and Ethiopia. Of more than 100 species of Coffea, two are commercially important sources of coffee beans (seeds), used in beverages. They are C. arabica and C. robusta, whose beans contain significant concentrations (about 1% and 2%, respectively) of the stimulant caffeine.
