barrier-free environment

a built space that is free of obstacles to individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities and permits safe, uninhibited movements. Environmental barriers can include street curbs, revolving doors or doors too narrow to admit wheelchairs, inaccessible toilets and washbowls, and elevator buttons that cannot be read by people with visual impairment.
