the level of involvement between the multiple roles in a person’s life, particularly as they pertain to employment and family or leisure activities. Achieving a good balance or fit is thought to increase life satisfaction. See also quality of life.

interest factors

in vocational guidance and personnel selection, an individual’s interests or preferences regarded as indicators of personality traits and therefore of suitability for a particular job or type of employment. Interest factors can be derived from interest tests and other self-report inventories or from hobbies, leisure-time activities, and previous jobs.
