Wolffian duct

Wolffian duct

a rudimentary duct system in the embryo that develops into structures of the male reproductive system (the epididymis, vas deferens, and seminal vesicles). In the female, the Wolffian duct does not develop. Compare Müllerian duct. [Kaspar F. Wolff (1734–1794), German embryologist]
