voluntary turnover

the number of employees who choose to leave an organization or unit during a given period, usually to take a position in another organization. A high rate of voluntary turnover can be an indicator of low job satisfaction. Compare involuntary turnover. See turnover.

misinformation effect

a phenomenon in which a person mistakenly recalls misleading information that an experimenter has provided, instead of accurately recalling the correct information that had been presented earlier. The misinformation effect is studied in the context of eyewitness memory.
