visual neglect

a form of neglect in which the individual is unaware of one side of the visual field. This occurs most often in the left visual field following right parietal damage or dysfunction. See also unilateral neglect.

analysis of transference

in psychoanalysis, the interpretation of a patient’s early relationships and experiences as they are reflected and expressed in his or her present relationship to the analyst. Also called transference analysis. See transference.
