time agnosia

an inability to perceive the passage of time, usually due to a disorder involving the temporal area of the brain. Individuals are unable to estimate short time intervals and believe long periods of time to be much shorter than they actually are. Their awareness of the existence of time, however, is retained. Causes may include a stroke, alcoholic coma, or a head injury; soldiers have experienced time agnosia after a combat trauma.
