Theater of Spontaneity

an experimental theater established in Vienna in 1921 by Jacob L. Moreno. The process of playing unrehearsed, improvised parts in the theater not only proved to be effective training for actors but also frequently had a beneficial effect on their interpersonal relationships. This technique evolved into psychodrama, which Moreno brought to the United States in 1925.
