sensitivity analysis

an evaluation of the extent to which the overall outcome of a model or system will be affected by potential changes to the input. This type of analysis is often used when the values of key variables are uncertain or subject to change, such as in financial planning. In research studies, sensitivity analysis enables researchers to understand the boundaries of their statistical models and design updated models that can account for the data at hand.
