schizotypy

n. in research contexts, a type of personality organization defined by milder forms of positive symptoms of schizophrenia, such as cognitive slippage, and negative symptoms, such as inability to experience pleasure (see anhedonia). Schizotypy is studied in individuals and family members as a predictor of or liability for the later occurrence of schizophrenia.
