rolfing

n. a deep-massage technique developed in the 1930s. It aims to relieve muscular tension, improve posture and balance, and enhance personal functioning through realignment of body structures. The technique is based on a theory that muscle massage can relieve both physical and psychological pain. Also called structural integration. [devised by Ida P.
