researcher bias

any unintended errors in the research process or the interpretation of its results that are attributable to an investigator’s expectancies or preconceived beliefs. The term essentially is synonymous with experimenter bias, but it applies to all types of investigative projects rather than to experimental designs only.

electrode

n. an instrument with a positive-pole cathode and a negative-pole anode used to stimulate biological tissues electrically or record electrical activity in these tissues. Also called bipolar electrode. See also microelectrode.
