redundancy analysis

a multivariate statistical model for examining the degree to which one set of variables or scores may maximally relate to a second such set. A researcher derives a number of weighted, linear combinations of interest from the first set of variables and examines the relation between these combinations and the variance in the second set. Redundancy analysis is an alternative to canonical correlation analysis.
