reactive

adj. associated with or originating in response to a given stimulus or situation. For example, a psychotic episode that is secondary to a traumatic or otherwise stressful event in the life of the individual would be considered reactive and generally associated with a more favorable prognosis than an endogenous episode unrelated to a specific trigger.
