rating scale judgment task

a signal detection task in which participants assign confidence ratings to their yes or no responses. Each rating category defines a different response criterion relative to which the evidence is judged, allowing a receiver-operating characteristic curve to be constructed efficiently.

open hospital

a psychiatric hospital without locked doors or physical restraints. Also called open-door hospital.
