rating error

rating error

an incorrectly assigned rating. Errors of this kind may be due to several types of bias, including end-aversion bias, halo effects, and primacy effects. For example, if a rater always describes the first of two targets in more favorable terms, then a primacy effect may account for these assigned responses.
