radial nerve

radial nerve

the combined sensory and motor nerve that innervates the medial (inner) side of the forearm and hand, including the thumb. Its fibers are derived from the fifth through eighth cervical spinal nerves and the first thoracic spinal nerve, and they pass through the brachial plexus.
