quantitative analysis

the investigation of data empirically using numerical variables. Quantitative analysis includes both descriptive statistics—such as summaries of means and standard deviations of variables—and inferential statistics—such as analysis of variance, regression analysis, factor analysis, and hierarchical linear models.
