psychoneuroendocrinology

n. the study of the relations among psychological factors, the nervous system, and the endocrine system in determining behavior and health. It focuses on the effects of psychological stress on these neuroendocrine systems (see neuroendocrinology) and the effects that changes in these systems have on behavior in normal and psychopathological states.
