the international honor society in psychology for senior colleges and universities, founded in the United States in 1929 to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship and to advance the science of psychology. It consists of a federation of over 1,000 chapters and is affiliated with the American Psychological Association and the Association for Psychological Science. It is the sister honor society to Psi Beta.
