pseudocyesis

n. a condition in which a woman shows many or all of the usual signs of pregnancy when conception has not taken place. In some cases, the condition is psychogenic, whereas in others it is due to a medical condition (e.g., a tumor, an endocrine disorder). Also called false pregnancy; pseudopregnancy.
