n.

1. the act of turning the arm and hand so that the palm faces downward and the two long bones of the forearm are crossed, or the condition resulting from this action.

2. the act of turning the foot so that the sole faces outward and the lateral (outer) margin is raised (as in walking on the inside of one’s feet), or the condition resulting from this action.

3. the state or condition of being prone (see posture). Compare supination. —pronate vb.
