premature ejaculation

a sexual dysfunction in which ejaculation occurs with minimal sexual stimulation, before, on, or shortly after penetration or simply earlier than desired. The diagnosis takes into account such factors as age, novelty of the sexual partner, and the frequency and duration of intercourse. The diagnosis does not apply if the disturbance is due to the direct effect of a substance (e.g., withdrawal from opioids). See also squeeze technique.
