2. a generalization demonstrated by a learning curve in which each increment in the performance variable (e.g., learning, memory) corresponds with a logarithmic increase in the practice variable. For instance, if the successive units of practice are 1 trial, 10 trials, and 100 trials, the resulting learning curve is a straight line.
