Pick’s disease
a type of frontotemporal dementia marked by progressive degeneration of the frontal and temporal areas of the brain and by the presence of particles called Pick bodies in the cytoplasm of the neurons. The disease is characterized by personality changes and deterioration of social skills and complex thinking; symptoms include problems with new situations and abstractions, difficulty in concentrating, loss of memory, lack of spontaneity, gradual emotional dullness, loss of moral judgment, and disturbances of language.
