pegboard test

a test of manual dexterity and fine motor speed in which the participant—first with the dominant hand, then with the nondominant hand, and finally with both hands—inserts pegs in a series of holes as rapidly as possible. One of the best known examples is the Purdue Pegboard Test (developed at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana).
