parkinsonism

n. any disorder whose symptoms resemble those of Parkinson’s disease, with or without the actual presence of the disease. Antipsychotic agents with strong dopamine-blocking activity, particularly the high-potency antipsychotics (e.g., haloperidol), may cause the usually reversible syndrome known as drug-induced parkinsonism (pseudoparkinsonism).
