optic apraxia
an impairment in the ability to associate tools and other objects with the corresponding action. Individuals with optic apraxia use objects improperly, misselect the objects needed for an intended activity, perform a complex activity (e.g., preparing a cup of tea, dressing) in the wrong order, or do not complete the task at all. In most cases, the temporoparietal or frontal association areas (or both) of the brain’s left hemisphere are affected.
