ololiuqui

n. the seed of a Latin American vine, Rivea corymbosa, which contains substances chemically related to LSD but less potent. Ololiuqui was first described in the reports of the 16th-century Spanish physician Francisco Hernández while studying the indigenous peoples of Mexico, who used it for both medicinal and religious purposes.
