NSAID

nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug: any of a large class of analgesic and anti-inflammatory agents that includes aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, and many others. They achieve their effects by blocking the synthesis of prostaglandins involved in inflammation and the pain response. Concurrent administration of NSAIDs and lithium may result in increased serum levels of lithium.
